Why art therapy?

Art is helpful for healing and self-awareness. Art therapy can only be facilitated with an art therapist present to guide, witness, and maintain safety. Art is a dynamic and tangible tool that allows for self-expression, freedom to make mistakes, and acts as an extension of the self. Art provides the opportunities for inquiry, awareness, and the ability to shape shift your narrative to a story of resiliency, self-compassion, and confidence. Art therapy allows clients to discover and become the best version of themselves.

What is art therapy?

According to AATA (The American Art Therapy Association), “Art Therapy is an integrative mental health and human services profession that uses active art-making, creative process, applied psychological theory within the therapy process. No, I am not able to prescribe medication. I can refer you to a psychiatrist, whom I can work closely with regarding your treatment goals. Research shows the best outcomes for treatment are therapy in conjunction with medication.

EMDR has been proven to help people recover from trauma (including PTSD), anxiety, depression, and panic disorders.

What are session fees?

Session fees are $175/hr for individuals and $200/hr for couples, families, and groups.

There are sliding scale opportunities for First Responders, Mental Health Professionals, Veterans, and Students. If this applies to you, we can chat more directly about this option.

How long will I be in therapy?

For many people, meeting once per week for 10-12 months will provide you with sustainable tools for change and growth long after therapy has ended. Treatment plans look different for everyone depending on the need of each person.

Good Faith Estimate & Dispute Process Disclaimer

Good Faith Estimate, No Surprises Act. Effective: January 1, 2022

Haven Healing Art Therapy, PLLC provides good faith estimates to all clients in accordance with the No Surprises Act. The Good Faith Estimate shows the cost of items and services that are reasonably expected for your health care needs for an item or service. The estimate is based on information known at the time the estimate was created.

The Good Faith Estimate does not include any unknown or unexpected costs that might arise during treatment. You could be charged more if you attend sessions more frequently than originally expected or need to schedule an appointment longer than 50 minutes for any reason. If the agency reviewing your dispute agrees with you, you will have to pay the price on the Good Faith Estimate. If the agency disagrees with you and agrees with the health care provider or facility, you will have to pay the higher amount.
